Tenchu 4

From Software announced a fourth installment in the assassination stealth action ninja game. Tenchu 4 is set one year after the third, and the story will span 3 games. Tenchu 4, 5 and 6 will all come to the Wii. The game will be developed by Acquire.

The game is set for release on October 23, 2008.

Gametrailers.com recently had an interview with Sega about their upcoming gory adventure game. In this trailer, they talked about their choice of M rating material. They also mentioned some aspects of the battle system, e.g. the localized slicing mechanism. In this particular system, you could slice someone in a specific spot and watch them get sliced exactly in that specific spot! You also get to ride beasts in this game (hence the title) and they range from small to very large T-Rex-like beasts.

The game is still in development and is set for release next Fall! The game is set for release on both the PS3 and X360

I think this is the first trailer for Square Enix's DS horror game, but I might be wrong. Anyhow, I was holding very high expectations for this game, but it had to turn me down! Yeah, I never thought it would be in old school RPG style! Yeah, like FF1, FF2 and the likes! Man, is the DS that lame? Anyways, if you're interested in this game or just wanna see for yourself then by all means go to this link:

I'm really disappointed in this game :(

Update: I think I've misunderstood the trailer. When I watched the trailer till the end, it had real impressive graphics and optimization for the DS stylus. If the game is anything like the last couple of scenes, then I think DS users may be in for a treat! Keep posted.

Tecmo's famous horror adventure game Fatal Frame (or Zero for our Japanese friends) has yet another installment. Tecmo's new Fatal Frame game is set for release on the Wii system. Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is the US version name.

The story is about 5 teenage girls who have been kidnapped to the eclipse island. In the only mansion on the island, you will encounter many evil spirits, your only weapon is the camera flashlight, which can be controlled with the Wii Remote.

The game seems interesting, but it's a shame it's only on the Wii :( I kinda liked the series and wished I could follow every installment, but Tecmo isn't so obeying :P

Here are some pictures:

I saw these new pics of RE5 and I thought I'd share them anyways. RE5 is confirmed for release at the end of Capcom's fiscal year, which is around the end of '08 to the beginning of '09. The battle system is confirmed to be that of RE4. The setting is set in Africa and said to be after the events of RE: Code Veronica, which Chris is trying to find the origin of the virus that spread out in RE: Code Veronica. Capcom stated, after releasing a work-in-progress demo, that the game is 60% complete. This game looks like it could keeps entertained like every other RE game.

Folks, the first trailer ever for this yet interesting game of Sega's is here! This is a must see!

I'm quite interested in this game, and for a change Sega might actually pull it off. Only time would tell now!

A new trailer was released earlier for this action-adventure game! The new trailer doesn't bring much to the table about RE5, just the wild idea of fighting seemingly endless enemies!

This game sure is interesting. I just hope they'd release it sooner rather than later.

I just found out that Ubisoft will be making a new Prince of Persia game! It's however not connected to the past trilogy, just another PoP game!

I just love this new things they'd be bringing to the game. I specially loved the part where they referred to Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie scenes!

It seems somehow that the female support character will play a good part in your battles in this game. Also the battle system seems more interactive than ever.

I'm interesting in knowing what you think of this!

A new action RPG game is in development by Sega and Secret Level. The game is set in medieval times in which you play as the female amazon warrior Tyris Flare.

Biohazard 5

New images of Biohazard 5 (Resident Evil) have surfaced the internet. These new images feature the appearance of a new character. A blond girl with tank tops and white pants.

Bayonetta

Bayonetta is an action game officially annouced by Sega that's currently in development by Platinum Games and Shinji Mikami.

Bayonetta is the the name of a dark sorceress who equips with firearms and magic. The game will be coming to both PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2009.

When I have more news about this game, I'll be sure to post it here.

Tears to Tiara: Kakan no Daichi

Aqua Plus will release Tears to Tiara: Kakan no Daichi July 17, 2008. It will be a PS3 game.

the game is based on the PC version with enhanced graphics, CG scenes, game system and additional scenarios. The story is about a girl named Rhiannon who released a demon lord Arawn who was sealed away for over 1000 years, they travel together and Rhiannon became emotionally attracted to him.

This tactical simulation RPG will be available for 7140 yen in Japan.

This game shows some promise. The CG scenes are in old-school syle anime. The battle scenes seem to be exciting! I'm actually looking forward to this game!

GTA IV Patch

There have been many complaints from gamers about certain online lagging. The PS3 version seems to have some problems with the overload of gamers in the gamespy.com servers. Rockstar has released a patch for PS3 gamers that will handle players flow better.

This was stated by Rockstar:

"Rockstar Games has released a GTA IV patch for Playstation 3 today that prevents Gamespy's servers from being overloaded and therefore reduces the impact on those servers that were causing the game to stutter and lock up," said Rockstar in a statement. "We continue to monitor the performance of the game both on and offline and will provide further updates as necessary. We want to assure everyone that, together with our hardware partners, we continue to strive to give our fans the best possible interactive entertainment experiences possible. This update will ensure that everyone will experience Grand Theft Auto IV the way it was intended. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused."

GTA IV

I have finally played GTA IV tonight at my friend's. I played the X360 version, which was pretty cool for the X360 I might say. The game has really improved over the last installment! The graphics have been enhanced among other things.

I didn't get to see the storyline though, which's sad. But what I have seen is quite enough. What grabbed my "WOW's" so much was the physics engine! I don't know what engine they used but it was pretty cool. It simulates realistic object interaction! If you shot a guy in the knee, he would crumble to the ground face-first beginning with his shot knee! If you pushed a guy down the stairs, he might trip and fall over! I mean these reactions are pretty much beautiful.

The graphic detail was also breath-taking, not in the beauty-wise sense, but rather in the actual details. For example, the detail on the tires of the cars!

I can't possibly just set here and explain everything in detail, so if you haven't already bought the game, please do! This game is to die for!

Mabinogi: Update

I have received the reply from the GMs at Nexon.com. The message contained the following:

"05/07/2008 12:46:53 AM | GM TicketMaster
Greetings,

Mabinogi is only open to those who reside in the North American region. If you are not in this region you will be unable to play Mabinogi. We do not have any information available if Mabinogi will be released in any other country."
As you can see, everyone in the world won't be able to play the game! Well, a game that doesn't want players is really unheard of!

I'll keep you up-to-date if they finally decide to include "outsiders".

On the other hand if you're in North America, you can enjoy this wonderful game. The main features of the game include, interactive real-time battle system and fantasy life!

Splatter House

Bandai Namco is releasing a new installment in the classic action series. The release date is aiming for a 2009 release on the rival systems, X360 and PS3.

These images look great! I don't have much knowledge of this game (or rather series) but I think the main character here looks alot like Jason from the movie "Freddy Vs Jason", doesn't he?
Nevertheless, this game shows some potential success, but only time and we (gamers) will decide.

On May 2, 2008, GameSpot made an interview with the creator of the TPS (Third-Person Shooter) Sci-Fi shooter game "Dark Sector". Director Steve Sinclair spoke about the game's various strengths and weaknesses.

Mabinogi Online

I have accidentally came across this MMORPG that promised "interactive gaming". As I read more about the game It became more appealling to me, so I did the only logical thing and downloaded the client and registered with the website nexon.com. I have a 128k internet connection speed so I had to wait for over 2 days to finally download the client as it was about 850 MB of size. That was tiresome let alone troublesome! And finally I opened the game to login but a strange message appeared...

"Not a service area"
That's the message I got! As I looked more into the matter, I found out via the forums that this message meant that the game isn't available to other countries beside US and Canada! I mean, C'mon! I didn't even get a heads up from the site ( maybe in their user agreement or something but no one reads that stuff, anyway). So I did the only logical thing and sent a message to the game staff requesting them to explain themselves. When I get the reply I'll post the update here.

GTA IV

Recently, GTA IV was released to the hungry public. I being one of them, was thrilled to hear it was released. The problem is that I don't have enough money on me right now to buy the game! It's so unpleasent but I can't provide you with any review comments. I can only give you some other reviews from some site that I truely respect. Here's a quote of some of the review it gave:

"Stepping off a boat in the shoes of illegal immigrant Niko Bellic as he arrives
in Liberty City at the start of Grand Theft Auto IV, you can tell immediately
that Rockstar North's latest offering is something quite special."

"GTAIV is a game with a compelling and nonlinear storyline, a game with a great
protagonist who you can't help but like, and a game that boasts a plethora of
online multiplayer features in addition to its lengthy story mode. It's not
without some flaws, but GTAIV is undoubtedly the best Grand Theft Auto yet."

This game is supposed to be out for both the X360 and PS3, so get up on your feet and run as hell to your nearest games store and buy this juicy game!

I just found out recently that Square Enix is going to make a horror adventure game! It's story goes around a 20 year old university student, one day he and his friends received notes of "The game of curse", which said you are cursed, and you must pass the note to other people or you will die within 1 week. You and your friends laughed at the notes, but after that everything suddenly changed around you, your friends died one by one in horrible incidents, and it will soon be your turn, you must find a way to escape death.

The game seems to be released July 3, 2008 in Japan. I hate to break it to you folks, but this game is to be released for the Nintendo DS! Yeah, a great shocker for me as well. I mean when Square Enix finally decides to dive into the horror/adventure genre, they had to bring their little experiment to the NDS! I don't have any grudges against the DS, only is that I don't own one and don't plan on doing so neither.

PS: the game is titled "Nanashi no Geemu" which I think translates to "The Curse Game". I know some Japanese :P
